Verify with Aadhaar

Two ways, and both are free. DigiLocker is instant if you already have an account. Otherwise download your own Aadhaar file from the UIDAI website. आधार से पहचान — दोनों तरीके निःशुल्क।

Option 1 — DigiLocker (fastest, nothing to download)

1. Tick the consent box, then tap Verify with DigiLocker.
2. Sign in on the DigiLocker page with your own mobile number and the OTP it sends you.
3. Approve sharing your Aadhaar details with OnnTime.
4. You come straight back here, already verified — no file to download, nothing to pick.

You need a DigiLocker account for this. If you don’t have one, either create one free at digilocker.gov.in, or just use Option 2 below.

Option 2 — Aadhaar offline file (about 2 minutes)

Step 1 — download your Aadhaar file

1. Open myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/offline-ekyc in your browser.
2. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the captcha shown on screen.
3. Enter the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile.
4. Set a 4-digit share code — any four numbers, for example 1234. Write it down, you will need it in Step 2.
5. Tap Download. A ZIP file is saved to your phone, usually in Downloads.

Step 2 — upload it here

1. Come back to this app and tap choose the Aadhaar ZIP file.
2. Pick the file you just downloaded (its name starts with offlineaadhaar).
3. Type the 4-digit share code you set.
4. Tap Verify identity — your name, date of birth and address fill in for you.

What happens next

Once you are verified we take you straight on to your application. Your name, date of birth and gender come from Aadhaar and cannot be edited after that — that is deliberate, so the details on your loan are the ones the Government holds, not something typed by hand.

Why this way?

Whichever option you use, the details are digitally signed by UIDAI. That proves your identity far more strongly than a photo of your Aadhaar card, which anyone could alter. It is free, and nothing is shared until you approve it. We only ever see the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar number.

Important: for either option, your mobile number must be linked to your Aadhaar to receive the OTP. If it is not linked, visit any Aadhaar enrolment centre to link it first.

Keep your share code handy until verification is done. We use it only to open the file, and never store it.
